The swedish radio program P4 has interviewed us during a bear excursion the 27th of July 2010. The program was send the same day in the afternoon in between 16:00 and 16:30.

Katharina Larsson followed our popular bear excursion and finally climbeded into a bear den where the nine years old female bear Silina has given birth to three bear cubs during January 2010.

End of May 2010 was reported a collision of a car with a bear close to Noppikoski. Luckily the driver was not hurt at all and the car has light damages.

Nothing is known about the bears state so long. It was not found dead nor there are  indications weather it is injured or not. We assume that this is why there were bear warning signs installed at road E45 around Kvarnberg recently. Now, the warning sign we have got from the turist organisation Siljan Turism is not the single bear warning sign in sweden any more.

Keep in mind:
Drive careful on your way to Kvarnberg, there is much wildlife in the area!

The italian freelance journalist Gabriele Salari (www.gabrielesalari.it) has newly published an article about Malmö city in an italian travel magazine. Last weekend he visited Dalarna and took the occasion to join our popular bear excursion. We made a trip to Hirvas den, a female bear followed by the bear projet since year 2000, who gave birth to 3 cubs during january 2009 at this spot. 

Beside analysing the numerous bear tracks we took a coffee break at lake Mellansjön in Orsa Finnmark and took a walk through a reservate for looking at great nature.

We expect Gabriele's article in the italian Plein Air magazine during next spring.
